The short version: MouldVision runs on your phone, keeps your results on your phone, and sends nothing to us unless you choose to.
Nothing, by default. MouldVision has no account, and asks for no name, email, address, phone number or date of birth. It does not use analytics, advertising or tracking, and the app and these pages load nothing from other websites.
These records stay in your browser's storage on your phone. They are not encrypted by MouldVision and are not a medical record. You can share them yourself as a PDF or data file, and delete exported records from Past results. Clearing your browser's website data removes them.
If you allow it, the front camera measures how far your eyes are from the screen by finding the size of your iris. Camera frames are processed on your phone and immediately discarded. No image or video is stored, and none is sent anywhere. Only the distance number is kept in your test record. If you decline, you can type the distance instead.
Today, a record only reaches BHS if you send it to us yourself, for example by email. A future version will offer an optional "Send to MouldVision research" button. If it does, it will ask for your consent first, explain what is sent, identify the record only by a short code rather than your name, and let you withdraw it by quoting the run number. Any research use beyond our own staff and colleagues will follow ethics approval.
We handle personal and health information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where they apply, the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic). We use it only for the purpose you sent it for, store it securely, do not sell it, and do not disclose it except as the law requires or with your consent. You can ask to see or correct information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it.
The app and these pages are served by GitHub Pages. Like any web host, it may record technical information such as IP addresses in server logs for security purposes; BHS does not receive or use these logs.
